Dear Bill,
I have to say I wish the Madi/Alpine CSJ had been my first guitar (instead of 10th?), because I never would have looked for another. Light weight, woods and binding are elegant and modern--I really like to hold and look at it.
It has just blossomed and I can get almost any tone I want out of it. With the picks Adam sent me and a little work with an emory board to roughen and bevel the Fast Turtle I am hearing LOUD lines, strong bass and that reverby bark-honk (don't know how to describe it), or gorgeous smooth rolling layers with fingertip and short nails, or jangly fat blues.
Just amazing!
