To the guys at Artisan,
I'm sure you won't remember me, but just over a year ago I came to your shop whilst on holiday in Tennessee. I came specifically to see your stock of Santa Cruz guitars as I had heard so many good things about them.
I explained that I was a left handed player and only "looking", (which in most guitar shops is the point where the sales guys start walking away), but you guys went out of your way to make me welcome, explaining the differences between Santa Cruz and other makes..
Spending time with me, enthusing about your personal favorites, and about an hour or so later I left your shop with a much better understanding of which model I wanted, along with a poster from one of your Chet Atkins memorial concerts, and the acute awareness that I had just had a great time with a bunch of players rather than sales guys!
The reason I am writing? Well, I've just taken delivery of my lefty Vintage Jumbo, from the only Santa Cruz dealer in the UK, and it's perfect. I've finally found "my" guitar. And I just wanted to say a big thank you to you guys! Your input was essential to my final choice of models and I will always be greatful to you for your time and the selfless way it was given to me!
